For my masthead I wanted to choose a powerful abstract word. I began searching for a word that is less common as I believe experimental fashion magazines are less common and the photography I want to create is less ordinary. Here are some words I stumbled across on:
- elysian (Greek): beautiful, creative, divinely inspired
- alchemist: someone who sees beyond the veil- finds the raw material of creation and refashions it to create a world according to their own passion.
- meraki: to do something with soul, creativity or love, to put something of yourself into your work
- kalopsia: the delusion of things being more beautiful than they really are
- ikigai (japanese): a reason for being; the thing that gets you up in the morning

I used Canva to look for fonts I found eye catching and that could match the magazines aestethics

Even though, I liked so many of the options I ended up choosing this one, the font for Kalopsia being “Great Vibes” and the font for the smaller text is called “Libre Basketville”. I wanted my title to be classy and look eye-pleasing as “kalopsia” is a beautiful word.
