The first photoshoot is for the cover image and the back image since these will be shot in the same studio.

Main Idea
On the front cover the whole background will be black, perhaps a long curtain, the main element will be the hanging clothes with lights displayed on them. I want to find “flowy” clothes and dangly accessories hanging from them. I want to make the garments look as alive as possible without a model wearing them. The front and back cover are inspired by my article “When fabric forgets the body”.
The back cover will be a continuation of the front, same black long curtain, identical hangers, but this time the clothes will be off the hanger, on the floor. I want to give an empty black feeling with the use of a lot of negative space. The clothes now will look lifeless compared to the front cover. The cover will support the idea of beauty of clothes on its own without being deceived by expectations (no model wearing them). While the back will focus on how clothes are actually perceived after disliking them on your body for example, lifeless.
Location
The location of this photoshoot will be somewhere inside, a studio or an empty place where I can easily set up the background. One of the options I thought for this was my school’s assembly room, since it offers a wide space and a black curtain. Moreover I can find it empty almost anytime after school, it will be quite easy to bring my equipment there since I go to school daily. Since I don’t need a model for this photoshoot it will be quite easy to set up and organise myself around my own schedule.

Model (clothes)
I will bring the clothes and hangers from my own closet since I have quite a wide variety of clothes, however most of my clothes are black which may be troublesome since there isn’t a lot of contrast between the clothes and the background. I also have a lot of accessories which I plan on using such as dangly pearls, purses, maybe even some hats. I may also borrow a suit from my dad and install it on the hanger, for a classy look that matches the background and vibe of the cover.
