Photoshoot (2): Photo selection + Editing
I took a total of 65 photos. Here is my contact sheet: After this, I decided to separate them based on location. Now, I need to choose 1 photo from each location 1, 2, and 3. I didn’t know which location would be better between 4 and 5 so I took pictures in both so now I will pick only 1 photo between them. After careful consideration, I decided to go with these 4 photos: For editing, I will edit them like I mentioned in some of my previous posts (gradually getting warmer). I will continue to use Adobe Lightroom for editing. Editing will include erasing the hanger and adjusting…

Photoshoot (2): Behind-the-scenes + Thoughts
Before the actual photoshoot, I decided to do a practise round in some of the original locations. Here are the photos from that: Notes: With this practise photoshoot, I thought a little more on how to achieve the best possible outcome, so I decided to change the location completely to the hills and forest. I also decided to alter the dress a little. The actual photoshoot: Location: Like I mentioned in previous posts, I want these series of images to tell a story from being surrounded by man-made to nature. So I began with the location on the first picture, then to an area which was more empty, and gradually…

Photoshoot (2) moodboard
Before continuing with the second photoshoot, I decided to change the theme of the photoshoot. I originally wanted the photos to be warm and filled with bright colours, but because of the season and weather, I decided to change it. This photoshoot’s changed theme was inspired by the movie ‘Before I fall’. This movie is set in the winter, and therefore has a cool-toned aesthetic. Personally, I didn’t like a cool-toned colour scheme, but after watching this movie, my mind changed, and therefore inspired this theme. <- This is the mood board (inspired by the movie) for my photoshoot. Main elements: – Nature (trees, snow)– More natural colours– Calm I…

Mini-photoshoot (1): Photo selection + Editing
For the landscape specifically, I took 111 photos for the landscape. These are the photos I selected (unedited): I chose these photos because I like the that there is a lot of space in the sky, especially the ones without the clouds. I want to put two photos on a two single-pages, but blend the sky so that it looks like it’s under one sky. I want to choose either one with a drier background and a snowy background or the night sky with anything. I used Adobe Lightroom to edit these pictures. For these pictures, I decided to edit them simply by cropping them, adjusting the light (exposure, contrast,…

Photoshoot #3 + Mini-photoshoot #4: Changes
I realised that I couldn’t capture enough images to create a collage of clothes that got thrown away because the city I live in is relatively clean, so after thinking about how to fill in the empty pages, I decided to get rid of the final mini-photoshoot (originally planned to create the collage) and instead I decided to combine the final and the third photoshoot and try to get a final photo. For this photoshoot, I will use whatever I have at home, and do a photoshoot in my house. Another change that I want to make is I want to set up props so that the photo carries meaning.…
