First version of the magazine and feedback from audience
Firstly, I wanted to turn my magazine into a flipbook to see how it would look like. When doing this, I faced 2 problems. The first one was that I created my pages on a double-spread layout (except for the front and back cover) so when I tried to upload it into Issuu, I needed to screenshot directly in half and all my attempts into making it into a flipbook made the pages mismatched or gave it some empty space. So, I found another site where I can just adjust the full screenshot into an A4, called Flipsnack, and the final look actually looked very nice, but when I tried…

Layout design
I used Canva for the layouts Front cover: I realised that I have most of the conventions needed in a magazine front cover (main image, masthead, selling line, barcode), but I didn’t have cover lines. The difference between a selling line and a cover line is that a selling line is consistent and relevant for the identity of magazine, whereas cover lines are more specific to that magazine and can act as a sneak peek of its contents. Designing the digital images
I need 3 digitally designed pages: Who wore it best (for the planet)? For the Who wore it best pages, I will draw some outfits worn by popular celebrities, then put them together on a double spread pages with a little information about each of the garments. Also, I will continue with the no model theme, so instead of the face, I will just write the names of the celebrities. Here are all the drawings I did based on the outfits worn by celebrities. I will also include small information about these outfits. Do you know your fashion footprint? This will be in a quiz format. Originally, I wanted it…

Writing the Editor’s note, Feature article, and Article
Editor’s note: The main aim of my editor’s note is to briefly remind or educate my readers about the current state our of environment is in, then to remind them that it is not too late to take action. Ver 1: Dear readers, I often find myself daydreaming about my future and how glamorous and wonderful it will be, but let’s be realistic. By the time I’m 45, the planet will probably be extremely damaged, and my kids will be asking me what a tiger looks like in real life. To prevent this from being our actual future, we need to act now, no matter how small our actions may…

Photoshoot (3): Thoughts + Photo selection and editing
This photoshoot was extremely simple and quick because I just needed to set up the props. The props needed for this photoshoot were clothes made out of denim, and a suitcase. Challenges: Again, this photoshoot was very simple to set up and do so there weren’t any challenges. Did anything go different from the plan: Despite all the past changes mentioned in previous posts, something that went differently from the plan was deciding to fill both parts of the suitcase. I originally planned to have one empty to have space for the texts, I decided to fill both and I would put the text either on top of the image…
