Magazine Brand Identity

Genre:

The genre of my magazine will be a lifestyle relatable but artistic magazine with my table of contents and featured article something that you don’t normally see in magazines today, i wanted to think out of the box so i can target various interests in people and make it fun to look at then just things you see in magazines for years now, Even though conformity is known to be important to humans i wanted to switch it up to make it more unique.

Masthead:

I chose Tutto Passa which means ‘everything passes’ in Italian to enhance the meaning that even when something is going bad it passes and time never stops, to show that even when everything is good it can also pass and go downhill, i chose this to signify the somewhat fear and also comfort of knowing nothing ever stays the same.

Visual approach and Photo style:

I want the magazine to look colourful and uneasy looking by the use of moving pictures as my cover photo with the literal denotation of people passing but also the connotation that people are passing by such as, your relationships, your thinking like your life. I also would want it not messy but all around the place on the pages to make it more captivating but also not hard to understand the order.

Colours:

Unlike my mood board and genre post i have decided to go into a more darker tone for colours but not dismiss all bright colours but use them on important subjects i would want to stand out.

Target audience:

My audience is 14-18 both female and male mostly non workers living in the city interested in many different articles seen in a magazine with a preference of less ads, and an interest of knowing what is going on in the world through the magazine.

Table of contents:

I was thinking to make my table of contents unique and different than others but i also think to make it simple because it is at the beginning and making it one of a kind would may be too much and make the whole magazine overstimulating, but on the other hand having different visuals would help me resonate with the target population since they are 14-18 knowing that this generation has low attention span making my magazine all captivating in out of the box ways may fit better.

How i would make it stand out from other magazines:

I have chosen to make a magazine that you don’t normally see all the time to create a sense of reason with my audience and making it creative and fun. More in depth above how itll stand out from other magazines.
