In this post, I will be discussing my band, The Undecided Who.
The Undecided Who? (Yes, dear reader, you gotta add the question mark) is a Dark Cabaret project combining elements of Punk Rock, classic Jazz and Avant-garde. Based in Cluj Napoca, Transylvania, the band consists of six youths hellbent on playing and creating the weirdest, most dramatic music out there. With virtuoso Piano playing as the band’s backbone, the hard-hitting, raw sound of punk on the Drums, Bass and Guitar, and not one but two theatrical voices on the mic, the Undecided Who? Is ready to deliver energetic stage performances that make the viewer feel like looking at the combination of a Fosse musical, a circus, a Bunuel film and a particularly gruesome haunted house, all at once!

History
The Undecided Who was founded around February of 2024, with a Will Wood cover project. We started out small, with sets of 2-3 songs at jam sessions, but over time, the band began performing consistently around jam sessions, bars and small festivals in and around Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and graduating from a cover band to a band with original songs. We have recently released a demo tape, which was received with overwhelming positivity, and have an album in the works.
Our Style
Our style can be described as Dark Cabaret, or rather “Jazz Punk”. With dark visuals, a limited colour palette of black, red and drama; as well as a beloved prop we take everywhere we go, a shovel we have creatively named “Mr Shovel”, a reference to one of our first ever covers, “Hand me my Shovel, I’m going in!” by Will Wood and The Tapeworms. Our band combines gritty, edgy punk energy with the elegance and grace of jazz.
Online Presence
As of right now, September 2025, The Undecided Who has 3 active social media accounts: Tiktok; for clips of covers and original songs, Instagram; for show announcements and professional photoshoots and Youtube; for concert videos and other long-form video content. These accounts have been managed and run by me, since January of 2025.
Tiktok Page
My main strategy for TikTok posts is consistently posting covers of artists such as Will Wood, which have a “cult fandom”. I chose this method after studying Henry Jenkins’ Fandom Theory. This has helped grow our account from 20 followers (in January) to 3.6k followers (in September). In average, we get at least 100 likes per post, with ~20k likes being our most popular.
Instagram Page
The Instagram Page is reserved for more professional-looking content. I post our professional photos, as well as event announcements and album updates. The posts are usually made with the collaborate feature, the platform allows multiple pages to publish the same post, this maximises the reach of the pictures. Usually, we post alongside the venues or organisations we perform for. On average, we get around 100-250 likes per post, with our most popular post having 440 likes.
YouTube
The YouTube channel is definitely our least popular, with only 145 subscribers, and an average of 10 likes per video. This is the channel that I have dedicated the least attention to, usually just throwing performance videos onto the channel with little regard to video quality and peak engagement times.
Spotify
In addition to our social media accounts, our fairly-new demo tape is available on multiple music streaming platforms, with the most relevant being Spotify. We have maintained around 1000 monthly listeners since the release of the demo tape.

Carla (Vocalist)
I am a singer and manager for The Undecided Who. Besides performing, I manage our live shows and our social media image, and write the occasional song. I specialise in crazy looks, and represent the messy, fast and gritty side of our music, providing scream-y, raspy, raw notes and energy, while reciting tongue-twisting phrases “concerningly fast” (so I’ve been told)
Iuli (Vocalist)
Iuli is a singer alongside me in the band. He represents the softer, more elegant side of our music, reaching high notes that can only be described as hypnotising. As singers, we contrast each other on stage, while simultaneously harmonising as one. Iuli’s stage presence is without a doubt unforgettable.
Francis (Piano)
Francis is an exceptionally talented pianist, seamlessly sewing the jazz elements into our music with calculated yet free-flowing notes. The sound of the piano is the backbone to the complicated ecosystem that is The Undecided Who, and the banter shared between him and the singers has defined the way the band approaches live performances since the very first show.
Reed (Bass)
Reed is the bassist and songwriter of The Undecided Who. With a unique way with words and melodies, his creative vision has been absolutely incredible in the process of writing our original music; besides songwriting, he also dabbles in sound engineering and film-making, being the creative director and sound editor for our demo tape.
Tudor (Guitar)
Tudor is the guitarist for The Undecided Who. Tudor is a mysterious figure, always finding ways to surprise the band with chilling guitar solos, and long, gloomy notes, providing eerie harmonies that shape the emotions of our music.
Alexiana (Drums)
Alexiana is the drummer of our band. Besides her truly impressive drum skills, and her ability to adapt to every situation we find ourselves in, she brings absolutely electrifying energy to every live show she is in.
