Opening Scene – Gym Class

Wide Shot
The gym is lively and chaotic. Teens are throwing dodgeballs, shouting, and laughing.

Medium Shot
Ben (17, tall and wiry) stays at the back of his team. His body language screams
discomfort—arms folded. A dodgeball bounces near his feet but he doesn’t move.

Close-Up
His eyes flick to the clock. He’s counting down the minutes until the game ends.
Dialogue (Off-Camera)
CLASSMATE: “Ben, heads up!”

Slow Motion
A bright red dodgeball rockets toward Ben. He notices it too late.

Close-Up
The ball slams into his temple. The sound distorts into a deep thud that echoes unnaturally.

Wide Shot
Ben collapses onto the floor. The gym noise fades into a muffled, underwater hum.

Ben Wakes Up

Low Angle Shot:
Ben’s eyes flutter open. Blurry faces of his classmates hover above him, their voices muffled.

Medium Shot
A teammate leans over him, snapping their fingers.
CLASSMATE: “Yo, Ben, you good?”

Behind the classmates stands a phantom girl—pale, with large, dark eyes and damp, black
hair clinging to her face. Her school uniform is from decades ago—torn and streaked with
dirt.

Tracking Shot
The girl steps forward, her lifeless eyes locking onto Ben.

Dialogue (Phantom Girl, Softly)
PHANTOM GIRL: “You can finally see me, Benny?”

Close-Up (Ben)
His breathing quickens. His body trembles as he stares at her.

Wide Shot:
The classmates exchange confused glances, looking at Ben but seeing nothing unusual.

Dialogue (Classmate, Off-Camera)
CLASSMATE: “Ben? What’s wrong?”

Sound Effect
A faint whispering begins to creep into the soundscape, growing louder.

Tracking Shot
The phantom girl steps closer, crouching near Ben.

Dialogue (Phantom Girl, Whispering)
PHANTOM GIRL: “Don’t be scared of me, Benny… I just want to talk to you.”

Quick Cut (Ben’s POV)
The girl suddenly vanishes. His classmates are still crowding around him.

Wide Shot (Tracking)
Ben jumps to his feet and stumbles toward the gym doors.

Sound Effect
The gym noise returns, sharp and loud, as Ben pushes through the crowd.

Dialogue (Classmate, Off-Camera)
CLASSMATE: “Yo, where’s he going?”

Bathroom Interior

Wide Shot
Ben bursts into the bathroom, the door slamming behind him. The camera lingers near the
entrance as he leans over the sink, his chest heaving.

Close-Up
He twists the faucet, letting cold water run over his hands.

Dialogue (Ben, Whispering)
BEN: “Get it together. Get it together…”

Medium Shot (Mirror)
Ben splashes his face and looks up at the mirror. His pale, wet reflection stares back.
Nothing strange.

Sound Effect
The fluorescent lights above him buzz loudly, then begin to flicker.

Lighting Effect
The room dims for a split second before the light stabilizes, then flickers again.

Over-the-Shoulder Shot (Mirror)
For a brief second, the mirror fills with ghosts—a crowd of pale, lifeless figures with empty
eyes packed tightly together, all staring at Ben.

Quick Cut (Ben’s POV)
He yells, spinning around to look behind him, but the room is empty.

Sound Effect
The flickering stops, leaving only a faint whispering echoing in the air.

Barry Enters

Wide Shot
Ben stumbles back, his hands gripping the sink for support. His knees buckle, and he
collapses to the tiled floor.

Low Angle Shot (From Ben’s POV):
The bathroom door creaks open, and Barry, one of Ben’s teammates, steps in. Barry is also
dressed in the dodgeball uniform.

Dialogue (Barry):
BARRY: “Uh… dude? Why are you on the floor? You good, or do I need to call an
ambulance?”

Medium Shot (Ben):
Ben is trembling, his back pressed against the wall. He stares at Barry, wide-eyed and pale.

Dialogue (Ben, Stammering)
BEN: “D-Don’t you… didn’t you see them?”

Dialogue (Barry, Smirking)
BARRY: “See what? Bro, you’re sweating like crazy. Did you get hit in the head too hard or
something?”

Close-Up (Ben)
He shakes his head, whispering to himself.
BEN: “I’m not crazy… I’m not crazy…”

Sound Effect
A faint voice whispers: “We’re watching you, Ben…”

Medium Shot
Ben’s head snaps up, his eyes darting around the empty bathroom. Barry raises an eyebrow,
confused.

Dialogue (Barry)
BARRY: “Right. Well, uh… good luck with whatever that is.”

Wide Shot
Barry walks out of the bathroom, leaving Ben alone. The camera lingers on Ben sitting
against the wall, trembling, as the faint whispering builds into a low hum.
