I will include the main terminology and key words. Which I attached here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"712\" src=\"https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled_Artwork-1-1024x712.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled_Artwork-1-1024x712.png 1024w, https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled_Artwork-1-300x209.png 300w, https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled_Artwork-1-768x534.png 768w, https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled_Artwork-1-1140x792.png 1140w, https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Untitled_Artwork-1.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Elements of magazine cover<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>masthead<\/strong>: the magazine\u2019s name, displayed in its unique typeface for strong brand recognition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>selling\/tagline<\/strong>: a short, catchy phrase highlighting the magazine\u2019s main appeal or editorial focus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>dateline<\/strong>: the month and year of publication, often with the price<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>main image<\/strong>: in fashion magazines usually it is used in a classic way, the face is big enough to make an impact on the news-stand, with the model making full eye-contact<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>main cover line<\/strong>: this is very large (taking up about a quarter of the cover area), strategically positioned to stand out<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>cover lines<\/strong>: additional lines distributed around the main image, adding appeal without overshadowing it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>model credit<\/strong>: sometimes includes a small credit acknowledging the cover model<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>barcode<\/strong>: a standard bar code used by retailers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Main Elements of table of content:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Layout <\/strong>\u2013 set out in columns, usually 3 or 4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One main image<\/strong> \u2013 relating to a feature article<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other <strong>smaller images<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Page numbers<\/strong> &#8211; on the images which anchor to the written contents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Top of the page \u2013 <strong>name of magazine, issue date and the word &#8220;contents&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Subscription and contact <\/strong>information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Editor\u2019s Letter<\/strong> \u2013 sometimes appears on the top, left hand side of page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An image of the front cover of the magazine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Colours<\/strong> \u2013 contents page use the same, simple <strong>colour scheme<\/strong> as the front cover<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contents is divided into <strong>categories and headings<\/strong> used to identify each.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Main categories<\/strong> \u2013 features and regulars: <strong>first line<\/strong> \u2013 page number, 1or 2 words which could be the artist\u2019s name or title to intrigue the reader in bold type and often capitals, (12 or 13pt)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sublines<\/strong> &#8211; give more specific detail about what the articles are about, smaller font<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Photography <\/strong>\u2013 is credited for the front cover, and there are interesting and varied photographs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bottom \u2013 <strong>page number, magazine title, issue date, often web address<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Usually 1 or 2 pages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A good example to understand better the key elements:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"736\" height=\"826\" data-id=\"195\" src=\"https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/8.jpg 736w, https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/ralucaistrate\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/8-267x300.jpg 267w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 736px) 100vw, 736px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I decided to read about magazine conventions and make a mind-map in order to learn them in a simpler way to manage to use them.
