Producing a magazine involves many cost such as printing, costumes, makeup, camera and studio equipment, etc. A budget helps plan these expenses in advance, to prevent overspending and ensure there is enough money for all the elements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also helps to set a realistic goal based on available funds and track whether the magazine is making a profit or a loss. James Curran and Jean Seaton&#8217;s &#8220;Power and Media Industries&#8221; theory points out that the media, including the magazine industry is controlled by a small number of large conglomerates primarily driven by the pursuit of profit and power. The theory suggests that the drive for financial success often takes precedence over creativity, resulting in a narrowing of and a reduction in content diversity <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though my magazine required almost no budget, as I already had most of the materialistic goods, I wanted to know what the total sum of making this magazine would have costed if I didn&#8217;t have any of these materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I did this by creating a chart on google sheets of the categories of cost, the cost and a photo of the product<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center is-style-default has-beiruti-font-family has-medium-font-size\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\"><strong><em>Chart<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1025\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/kaavyakishor\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Untitled-spreadsheet-Sheet1_page-0001.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1367\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/kaavyakishor\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Untitled-spreadsheet-Sheet1_page-0001.jpg 1025w, https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/kaavyakishor\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Untitled-spreadsheet-Sheet1_page-0001-300x126.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media-studies.ro\/2025\/kaavyakishor\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Untitled-spreadsheet-Sheet1_page-0001-768x324.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1025px) 100vw, 1025px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After calculating the total it came to an astonishing amount of 6329.34 lei which is 1265.84 Euros <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center is-style-default has-beiruti-font-family has-medium-font-size\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\"><strong><em>Reflection<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One problem I got while making this post was the fact that I had to research a lot to find the exact or similar clothes used cause they were not my clothes and hence I did not know where they were originally bought from. Also because some of them where hand tailored and custom made, I had to look for dresses that were similar to them.
