The genre of our movie is horror, more specifically — cult-horror. The main aesthetic in our movie is forest-like cult in which I am playing forest “entity”. Our short film is marked by dark vibe, unsaturated lighting, muted colors, and atmospheric music which I composed. My appearance as a forest entity is ethereal and mystical, my body was painted entirely black with golden makeup accents – like tears. This will highlight my otherworldly presence while subtly conveying my dark, demonic nature.
The film is set in the woods of Dealu Botii, a location chosen for its eerie qualities and weather at the time of filming. Untouched wilderness with harsh, cold conditions We plan to shoot in the winter, capturing the chilling snowfall and bare trees to enhance the unsettling atmosphere of the story.
For the title, we wanted something that connects both to the forest and mysterious nature of tarot cards. After ruminating for about 30 minutes we had an idea to search for Latin words that can relate to our movie and also “sound intriguing”. While exploring various Latin words related to the forest, we landed on “Nemor,” which means “a grove of trees.” This title perfectly ties the natural elements of the film.
The font for the title will be “Blackcraft,” which we found on dafont.com. It has a rough, carved look, resembling text etched into wood—ideal for our forest setting and the horror theme of the film. This gives the title a raw, unsettling feel that matches the tone of the film.
