I created a short video of my process of making the magazine, including the technology I used. I put together in CapCut some shots that I took during my making-of process.
My journey began online on the blog, on a platform called WordPress. To make my blog I used other sites, such as Google, Google Docs, Pinterest, Canva, Google Forms, and I worked on my MacBook mainly, but also on my phone sometimes.
My first interaction with other devices was when I did the first photoshoot, where I used a Canon R5 MkII, zoom lenses 24-70 mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8 and a fixed lens 35mm f1.8. In the studio I also used two Softboxes Godox 60×90 cm and a sunset lamp. For the second one I only used a Canon EOS 6000D and my iPhone 16. To edit the photos I used Fotor and Phothoshop to delete the unwanted elements from the photos, and then further edited the photos using Canva. I continued using Canva to make the layout and final version of the magazine. My main editing software was Canva because it was extremely easy to use, and I got comfortable with it very quickly. It offers a wide range of features, which helped me make a lot of changes within a single platform. I then uploaded it to Issuu in order to preview how it will look physically and to share the final product with others.
Integrating technologies into my magazine helps the audience interact with it in a more dynamic way. Social media posts and stories will encourage readers to share their opinion and even message me for further information. This kind of interactivity makes the magazine feel more personal and connects better with my young audience. This is why I believe that integrating technology into my magazine was a really effective decision.
