For the first photoshoot:
I was really confused with editing because I wasn’t sure what I had to do exactly, but after looking at some YouTube videos I understood better what I had to do. Firstly, I started by using Fotor (I got the 1 week free trial so I could use the pro features) in order to delete the unwanted things in the images. They have an AI tool that can erase smartly the unwanted things in the photos where you select.

Then I went on and cropped the images to the size that I wanted them to be. In order to do this I also started looking at the layout of the pages better and changed a few things.
When I was done with cropping I moved on and started adjusted the rest of the things. Firstly I looked at the exposure and contrast, where I decided to go with a brighter look for a cleaner aesthetic. Then I selected a few photos that I wanted to make black and white to make the pages more interesting, plus I thought they looked cooler this way. For the rest of the photos I just made them look more lively. I didn’t want to go for any crazy edits since I want my magazine to feel authentic, not photoshopped. For some of them I had to edit more, while for others it was much easier.

For the second photoshoot:
This time I only used Canva to edit my photos as I had a lot of settings and options for this, and I didn’t like using other apps as much.
I really enjoyed editing these pictures as I realised how much I can change a photo by editing it right. The lighting at the shoot was really poor, and the natural light that we got from outside was also bad, due to the raining. This is why it was extremely important for me to edit these photos so I can make them brighter and match my vision better.
These are some results:
