Throughout the project journey I felt challenged to evolve my skills as both a filmmaker and a storyteller. At the outset of the project I had a grasp of filming and editing fundamentals, however as the project unfolded I gained insights into crafting tension in narratives, directing actors effectively and using visuals and sound to evoke emotions in the audience. Utilizing the cinematic mode on the iPhone 16 provided me with access to features such as rack focus and dynamic exposure control resulting in footage that overfufilled my initial expectations for quality typically associated with mobile devices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the skills I mastered was the timing of a scene knowing the moment to linger on a shot or make a cut and striking a balance between silence and sound for maximum impact .In CapCut Premium editing sessions taught me how to seamlessly integrate filters and ghost overlays while synchronizing audio cues with visual transitions I also picked up techniques for adding subtle sound effects such, as crackling wood ambiance to enhance the immersive quality of the final product. These abilities were completely unfamiliar, to me prior to the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this process I discovered more than editing abilities, I also picked up on how to convey a concept visually in my work on the films opening scene that lacked verbal exchanges necessitating me to use camera angles and lighting along with character movements to narrate the tale effectively which prompted me to consider composition nuances involving tone and symbolism more deeply leading me to realize that I wasn\u2019t only crafting a thriller but rather crafting a meaningful piece that sent the message effectively. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
